Three Friends Tragically Lose Their Lives Following Missouri High School Game

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Friends in Missouri

The Climax Springs School District and local community are mourning a devastating crash on February 21, which claimed the lives of three recent high school graduates—Ava Wolfe, Jayden Butterfield, and Violet Corado—returning home from a basketball game.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 54 when a 49-year-old man driving a 2025 Toyota Corolla failed to stop at a sign and collided with an eastbound GMC Terrain. The driver of the GMC, a 38-year-old man, was killed instantly, along with the three passengers in the Corolla. The impact caused the Corolla to veer off the road into a tree and a fence.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, the school district expressed its grief, emphasizing the loss felt by the community. Counseling services will be offered to staff and students in the wake of this tragedy. A fundraising page has also been established to support the victims’ families.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to all affected by this unimaginable loss.
