Southwest Airlines Flight Avoids Collision with Private Jet at Midway Airport
At Chicago’s Midway International Airport, a Southwest Airlines flight and a private jet came dangerously close to colliding on the runway.
The flight crew was required to execute a go-around to assess a potential incident involving the private jet. Fortunately, Southwest Flight 2504 successfully landed at the airport after narrowly avoiding the private aircraft.
A spokesperson for Southwest commented to CNN, “The crew adhered to established procedures, and the plane landed safely. The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority.”
