Netflix increases subscription prices

Netflix released its latest financial data for the fourth quarter of 2024, PCW reports. While the results are good news for the company’s shareholders, who saw operating profit reach $10 billion and revenue grow by 16 percent, the future looks bleak for users.

Netflix decided to increase prices, with the Standard plan with ads now costing $8 from $7, while the Standard plan without ads is going from $15 to $18 per month.

Prices have also increased for the Premium plans that offer 4K Ultra HD resolution and HDR from $23 to $25. To add another member outside the family to this plan, you have to pay $9, up from $8.
