Tensions Rise During Trump-Zelensky Meeting at the White House
The encounter between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House has been marked by rising tensions.
Trump has publicly accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War III,” as footage surfaces showing both leaders raising their voices within the Oval Office.
According to “The Telegraph,” the U.S. president took issue with Zelensky, claiming that the Ukrainian president was disrespectful and should express gratitude for American support.
“We’re trying to solve a problem. Don’t dictate how we should feel; you’re not in a position to do so,” Trump stated during the meeting.
“You’re not in a strong position right now. You don’t hold the cards with us, and you’re going to encounter problems if this continues,” he added, as reported by Nationale.
Trump further emphasized that Ukraine needs to reach an agreement with the U.S. or risk losing Washington’s support.
“Your people are very brave, but you will either make a deal, or we’re out. If we pull our support, you will have to fight,” Trump warned.
