**Plus-Size Influencer Shares Frustration Over Attention at Disneyland**
Gracie Bon, a 27-year-old plus-size influencer, expressed her outrage after experiencing stares and being filmed during a family day at Disneyland, which she described as turning into a “nightmare.” With a significant following of 10 million on Instagram, Gracie posted a video reflecting on her experience, which has garnered over 5.2 million views.
In her video, she questioned why people seem unaccustomed to seeing larger individuals at Disneyland, stating, “Are people really not used to seeing big girls like me at Disneyland?” From her arrival at the park, Gracie noticed visitors staring, whispering, and some even pulling out their phones to record her. 
In a unique twist, when she noticed some parents filming her, Gracie decided to turn the tables by having her brother use her special camera glasses to capture their reactions. “I was shocked by what I saw,” she remarked. “People were acting like they had never seen someone my size before. But nearly 40 percent of visitors here are plus-size, so why was I treated as if I were an anomaly?”
She also addressed the unrealistic expectations placed on individuals regarding body image, stating, “What do people want me to do? Shrink myself overnight just to enjoy an amusement park?”
Despite the uncomfortable attention, Gracie tried to make the most of her visit, sharing that she needed two seats on the Slinky Dog ride, which she framed as “double the fun!” She concluded her video by engaging her followers, asking, “What would you do in my situation?”
The footage featured her enjoying various moments in the park, including taking pictures with Disney characters, while also highlighting instances where visitors reacted to her presence. While her post received nearly 87,700 likes and close to 11,000 comments, it also drew criticism. Some commenters remarked, “You know exactly why people are looking,” while others claimed her body appeared unnatural. A few accused her of seeking attention and creating unnecessary controversy.
This isn’t Gracie’s first encounter with criticism. In response to previous negative comments, she has defended herself by affirming, “This is what God gave me.”
