Chelsea Freeman’s Tips for Harmonizing Marriage and Parenting

Chelsea Freeman Opens Up About Balancing Parenthood, Marriage, and Life in the MLB Spotlight

In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life, Chelsea Freeman shared how she and her husband, Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman, navigate the demands of parenthood, marriage, and Freddie’s hectic MLB schedule. As parents to three energetic boys—Fredrick “Charlie” Charles II, 8, Brandon John, 4, and Maximus “Max” Turner, 4—the couple has mastered the art of balancing their busy lives while keeping their family strong.

Chelsea, 33, opened up about her children’s love of sports and her latest partnership with OFF!® Mosquito and Tick Repellents, a collaboration that holds personal significance for her. “Raising three boys, I’ve learned that compromise comes with the territory,” she said, highlighting how OFF!’s fragrance-free, non-greasy formula helps keep her family protected during outdoor activities.

With baseball season in full swing, Chelsea shared how her sons are already embracing their own athletic passions. “Charlie lives and breathes baseball,” she said, noting that her eldest is gearing up for Little League. Meanwhile, Brandon is all about football, and Max enjoys both baseball and golf. “They have so much energy to burn off,” she added with a laugh.

While parenting three active boys is no small task, Chelsea emphasized the importance of making time for her marriage. “We really don’t have too much downtime, but we like to lay low and stay at the house,” she said. The couple recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a trip to Mexico, a reminder of the importance of nurturing their relationship. “Even as parents, you have to take care of yourself to be the best parent to your kids,” she reflected.

Chelsea also credited her support system, including Freddie’s California-based family, for helping her manage the challenges of being a public figure and a mom. “If I have a meeting or need to travel, I know my kids are taken care of by family,” she said. “Having a strong support system is everything.”

Her partnership with OFF! holds a deeper meaning for Chelsea, rooted in her family’s health history. She revealed that her mother was bitten by a tick as a child and later developed Lyme disease, which went misdiagnosed for years. “I saw how devastating it was for her,” Chelsea shared. “That’s why prevention, like using OFF! bug spray, is so important to me—it’s about protecting my family and my kids.”

Through it all, Chelsea remains grounded, prioritizing her family while embracing the joys and challenges of life in the spotlight.
