A volunteer at the Sterling Heights Public Library in Michigan discovered a wedding photo from the 1950s tucked inside a donated book.
The photo was identified by the couple’s granddaughter, Sarah Ruggirello, following a social media post shared by the library.
Sarah confirmed that the image depicts her grandparents’ wedding in Detroit on September 26, 1953.
Frank, her grandfather, passed away in 2020, and Josephine, her grandmother, died in 2023—after 67 years of marriage.
Previously unknown to the family, the photograph has now become a cherished keepsake.
“My dad and I had never seen this photo before. Now I plan to frame it and display it at home,” Sarah shared.
