“When God Protects You, There’s Nothing You Can Do!”
This is the story of Kaleb Whitby, whose life took a miraculous turn in January 2015. On that day, he was involved in a devastating 26-vehicle pileup on I-84 in eastern Oregon, caused by fog and icy road conditions. Tragically, his pickup truck was crushed between two massive trucks, reducing it to a pile of twisted metal.
The scene was so horrific that anyone witnessing the wreckage would have believed no one inside could have survived. Yet, against all odds, the impossible happened: firefighters pulled Kaleb out with only a few scratches and a black eye.
His vehicle was wrapped around his body, with jagged metal shards passing mere inches from him in some places. Miraculously, none of the sharp pieces made contact with his skin.
His survival is considered one of the most extraordinary in U.S. history, earning him the nickname “miracle on the asphalt.”
