Netanyahu arrives in the US for talks with Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in the US for a meeting with President Donald Trump.

It is known that the leaders will discuss Hamas, Iran and expanding diplomatic relations with Arab countries.

While the meeting at the White House to be held on February 4, will be Trump’s first with a foreign leader since returning to office, writes skynews, reports Telegraph.
And it comes after the Americans and Arabs have begun mediating the next phase of an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip and the release of dozens of hostages held by the militants.
According to Netanyahu, by working with the US, they can “strengthen security and achieve peace through force”.

But Hamas has said it will not release any more hostages without an end to the war and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces.
Netanyahu, however, is under increasing pressure from some of his ruling partners to resume the war after the first phase ended in early March.

He insists that Israel is still committed to defeating Hamas and returning all hostages captured in the militant attack on October 7, 2023, that sparked the war.
