Are men who can’t do 10 push-ups more at risk?

Middle-aged men who can’t even do 10 push-ups are significantly more at risk of heart attacks and strokes.

The strength to do more than 40 push-ups is associated with a 97% reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease over the next 10 years, reports.

According to the authors of this study, push-ups are an even better predictor of future heart health than running.

So, according to them, push-ups are a no-cost and very easy method to help you know more or less what kind of heart health you have.

The study was published last week in the prestigious journal ‘JAMA Network Open’.
