This is the moment when a large lion was spotted in a “sleepy Mexican town.”
A passerby captured footage of the animal just after it escaped from its enclosure in San Pedro Cholula, west of Mexico City, on Wednesday.
The lion was seen moving along the streets as panicked locals tried to control the animal. What stands out in one image is the fact that a local is seen walking calmly beside the creature. The mayor’s office attempted to reassure residents in a statement following the escape.
