Nicole Kidman to Take Break from Acting Following Busy Year of Projects
Nicole Kidman is set to take a break from acting after an incredibly busy year that saw her involved in multiple projects.
The 57-year-old actress took on six different roles last year and plans to pause her acting commitments after promoting her latest film, Holland.
In 2022, the Oscar winner appeared in films such as A Family Affair, Spellbound, and Babygirl, as well as in TV series like The Perfect Couple, Expats, and Lioness. Notably, this list does not even include her previous series, Nine Perfect Strangers, or the promotional efforts for Holland.
In Holland, Kidman portrays a housewife living in the quaint town of Holland, Michigan, who gradually becomes consumed by paranoia over her husband, played by Matthew Macfadyen, leading a secretive double life.
Mimi Cave, the film’s director, shared insights with Variety about Kidman’s role not only as an actress but also as a producer. He praised her “keen” instincts, noting how actively involved she is in her projects. According to Cave, Kidman contributes in a precise manner, thoughtfully evaluating what elements of the script can enhance the overall narrative.
