After Kanye West shared a vulgar post pertaining to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, their grandmother Tina Knowles subtly threw shade at the disgraced rapper.
Tina Knowles is standing up for her family.
After Kanye West shared an offensive post on X about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s mom subtly clapped back.
“I’m on the set of a photoshoot today for my book,” Tina, noticeably glammed up, noted in a video shared to Instagram March 19. “And I wanted to tell you all a corny joke because I have all this glamorous hair and makeup.”
She continued, “Want to hear it? Here it goes. What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown.”
The 71-year-old—who is also mom to Solange Knowles—flashed a cheeky grin at the camera before concluding, “Y’all know that’s funny.”
Tina’s response comes amid the “Runaway” rapper’s latest spewing of controversial social media posts, which also included harmful accusations hurled toward his ex Kim Kardashian, pertaining to their children North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
Amid her ex’s latest public tirade, Kim has not addressed his statements publicly. However, Kanye shared a screenshot March 15 of alleged texts between them.
In the conversation, Kanye allegedly reacts to Kim attempting to block him from dropping a song featuring their daughter North and Sean “Diddy” Combs—who is currently in jail awaiting trial for charges pertaining to sex trafficking and racketeering.
The “Jesus Walks” rapper shared texts in since-deleted X posts, in which Kim told her ex that she had “sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her.”

Kim added in another alleged message shared by Kanye that she had trademarked their eldest daughter’s name.
“I asked u at the time if I can trademark her name,” Kim added in another text shared by Kanye. “You said yes. When she’s 18 it goes to her. So stop.”
And while Kim has not shared a direct perspective to coparenting with Kanye, she previously noted on a podcast she was “basically raising four kids” by herself.
As she told pal Zoe Winkler on the What in the Winkler? podcast in November, “I think you and I’ve mostly connected on parenting and judgment, and feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us.”

Kim Kardashian on Talking to Her Kids About Kanye West Divorce:
“Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard,” Kim—who filed for divorce from the rapper in 2021—told GQ in a November 2023 interview. “You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age.”

Kim Kardashian on Why Daughter North Prefers to Live With Kanye West:
“She’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best,'” she shared on a November 2023 episode of The Kardashians. “‘He has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny, he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security. He lives in an apartment.’ And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment.'”
