Pennsylvania Woman Donates Charity Instead of Claiming $2.5 Million Lottery Ticket Left in Jacket Pocket

76-Year-Old Pennsylvania Woman Searches for Donated Jacket Containing $2.5 Million Lottery Ticket

A Pennsylvania woman is frantically searching for a jacket she donated to charity after realizing she left a $2.5 million lottery ticket in its pocket.

Mildred Simoneriluto, 76, purchased a lottery ticket at a Shop ‘n Save in Murrysville in May 2024. Two weeks later, she was shocked to discover that her ticket matched all five winning numbers: 14-22-33-35-38, as reported by the Telegraph.

Upon attempting to find the ticket, Simoneriluto made a heartbreaking realization: she had left it in the pocket of a jacket she donated to a charity supporting American veterans of the Vietnam War.

“I was stunned; I have no words for it. There are no words. How can I get it back?” Simoneriluto expressed in disbelief.

She immediately set out to locate the jacket but soon discovered that the charity distributes its donations nationwide, making it impossible to track her specific item.

The Pennsylvania Lottery informed Simoneriluto that claiming the prize without the physical ticket is not an option. The ticket is set to expire on May 8.

“What else can I do? Just cry out loud and hope something positive happens on my end,” Simoneriluto lamented.
