Susan Sarandon’s Daughter Eva Amurri Has Breast Reduction Surgery Months After Wedding Dress Criticism

Eva Amurri, the daughter of Susan Sarandon, shared the ups and downs of recovering from a recent breast reduction surgery, which comes months after she was criticized for her low-cut wedding dress.

Eva Amurri is getting candid as she heals from a recent operation.

After undergoing breast reduction surgery, the lifestyle blogger—whose parents are Susan Sarandon and Franco Amurri—shared a series of photos documenting her recovery including a snap of her sleep setup, which she described as the “worst part” of the process “by far.”

“I bought a wedge for my bed, and a neck pillow, and neither of those have been comfortable,” she wrote in a post on Instagram April 18. “Now I’m on to a pregnancy pillow. I still didn’t sleep last night.”

The 40-year-old added, “I hate sleeping on my back, so I know these next few weeks are gonna be rough for me with sleeping.”

Eva also included a photo lifting her shirt to reveal bruising near her ribs caused by the healing process.

“It’s been strange to see my body bruised and recovering from trauma,” she went on. “It’s not an easy sight, and it’s definitely brought up a lot for me. I’m looking at these next few weeks as a great opportunity to be kind to myself and nurture myself.”

Due to her limited mobility as a result of the surgery, Eva also said that blow drying her own hair had become “an absolute no-go”—but in that case, she managed to find a silver lining.

“Lifting my arms and holding the hairdryer is really not good for my healing,” she explained. “I decided to lean in and treat myself to a multi pack of blowouts at a salon I can walk to, and I’m so happy I did.”

Eva also pointed out that her healing process presented an opportunity for self-reflection.

“This recovery time has been an interesting lens through which to view my own thoughts and feelings about myself and my own value,” she noted. “It’s something I want to keep thinking about.”

Back in June, Eva faced criticism for donning a low-cut bridal gown for her wedding to chef Ian Hock, but the Happily Eva After founder—who shares three kids with ex Kyle Martino—had no problem dealing with the trolls head-on.

“To anyone scandalized by my breasts not being ‘put away,’” she wrote in an Instagram Stories post with a photo from her wedding day before posting a closeup snap of her chest, “feel free to screenshot this for later.”
