A Michigan man with over 40 years of lottery experience finally struck gold, winning $6 million on a scratch-off ticket.
The 60-year-old resident of Macomb County shared with Michigan Lottery officials that the winning ticket, purchased at Najors Liquor & Deli on Van Dyke Avenue in Sterling Heights, was a long-awaited dream come true, according to reports from the Telegraph.
“I regularly play scratch-off tickets and have been doing so for more than four decades,” the winner stated.
“When I scratched the ticket and realized I had won $6 million, I thought I was going to faint! I had to scan it into the lottery app just to confirm because I couldn’t believe my eyes,” he recounted.
The lucky winner plans to use his prize money for a vacation and to bolster his savings.
