Man Arrested After Attempting to Climb onto Cruise Ship Mooring Ropes in Sydney
A 29-year-old man was arrested after trying to climb onto the mooring ropes of a cruise ship in Sydney Harbour.
According to international media reports, the man, who was wearing sandals, climbed onto the mooring lines of the Carnival Adventure around 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Some passersby were shocked by his actions, while others found the scene amusing.
Local police arrived at the location to find the man still hanging onto the ropes. Four officers were present, ready to escort him away.
He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on June 11.
