Animal Gives Birth on Grass Outside Anchorage Hospital
An animal gave birth to a healthy calf on the grass outside Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Witnesses captured photos and videos on Thursday of the birth taking place outdoors.
Louise C., a witness, explained that she was walking to the hospital cafeteria when she noticed a crowd gathering.
“I saw a bunch of people looking out the window, and I wondered what was going on,” Louise said. “Then I walked over and saw an animal that had just given birth. It was so exciting—something you don’t see every day.”
She described the moment as “the cutest thing ever” and added that she had never witnessed anything like it.
According to witnesses, the mother doe and her newborn calf remained in the area for several hours after the birth.
