Maryland Man Wins $30,000 Lottery Prize After Receiving Gift from Nephew
A man from Maryland has won a $30,000 prize on a scratch-off lottery ticket he received as a gift from his nephew.
The resident of Gwynn Oak shared with Maryland Lottery officials that he is a regular player of scratch-off tickets. Recently, his nephew unexpectedly gifted him a $3 bonus ticket, according to the Telegraph.
To his surprise, when he scratched off the ticket, he uncovered a $30,000 prize.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was shocked,” the winner recalled.
He mentioned that his nephew will receive only a simple “thank you” for the gift. As for his winnings, the man plans to use the money to pay bills.
