Even though it’s only January, many people have already started thinking about their summer plans, and that includes packing their bags.
It’s over and all you have to do is collect your luggage at your destination.
But there’s one factor you might not have considered when choosing a suitcase. There’s one particular type of suitcase that’s 40 percent more likely to go missing.
According to Eminent research, people are more likely to choose black suitcases, which makes them harder to spot among others. Why does it matter? Wild Packs travel expert Jamie Fraser explained that the key is to recognize a suitcase on the luggage carousel.
Fraser said to avoid black suitcases, which generally have wheels, if you don’t want to confuse yours with someone else’s.
According to him, “black suitcases are the most common type of luggage globally, so they are the hardest to identify and the most likely to go missing.”
“Instead, opt for a more colorful variant or add unique details that will make it easily recognizable,” he says, adding that the information label should also be securely attached to the handle of the suitcase, regardless of its color.
