Khloé Kardashian often affectionately refers to her 1-year-old son, Tatum, with nicknames such as “mini Robert” and “baby Rob,” noting his striking resemblance to her brother, Rob Kardashian. Recently, she revealed how this resemblance took her by surprise, leading to a humorous story involving paternity tests and family genetics.
During an appearance on the SHE MD podcast on May 7, Khloé joked that her situation felt like it was straight out of a Kardashian episode. “My son looks just like my brother, and my brother is one of my favorite people,” she explained. She also observed that Tatum shares some personality traits with her late father. Both Khloé and Dr. Aliabadi, one of the podcast hosts, agreed that Tatum bears more resemblance to Rob than to her. This resemblance prompted Khloé to question Tatum’s paternity. “Tatum was born through IVF and surrogacy. I even asked Rob if he had ever donated sperm anywhere,” she confessed.
Her doubts led her to ask Tristan Thompson, Tatum’s father, to undergo three DNA tests. “Tristan was so offended,” Khloé recalled, even though previous tests had already confirmed his paternity. Her doctor was taken aback by her persistence in seeking more proof. Ultimately, Khloé came to accept that the Kardashian genes are exceptionally strong. She joked about the situation, saying, “It wouldn’t surprise me, but it would be so weird.”
Despite their past, Khloé praised Tristan as a father, calling him an incredible dad to their children. The couple separated in December 2019 following a cheating scandal, but they have successfully continued to co-parent their kids—Tatum and 6-year-old True Thompson. Khloé expressed gratitude for their ability to co-parent effectively, stating, “We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids.” In the end, what began as a perplexing situation turned into a lighthearted family anecdote.
