Two Aircraft Intercepted by U.S. Fighters in Secured Airspace Over Mar-a-Lago

F-16 Jets Intercept Aircraft Over Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate Amid Flight Violations

U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jets intercepted an aircraft that violated a temporary flight restriction (TFR) by flying over President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Sunday, according to NORAD. This incident marked the second airspace violation in 48 hours over Palm Beach, as reported by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

Since Trump’s inauguration on January 20, NORAD noted that over 20 aircraft have triggered alerts in the Palm Beach TFR area. To communicate with the pilot of the civilian aircraft, the fighter jets deployed flares, which pose no danger to those on the ground.

At the time of the intercept, Trump was at his golf course in Palm Beach. General Gregory Guillot, NORAD commander, emphasized the importance of adhering to TFR procedures for safety and national security, highlighting a concerning trend of violations that suggests some pilots are neglecting necessary flight notices.

In a separate incident, the U.S. Secret Service shot an armed man near the White House after he brandished a firearm during a confrontation. The man was reportedly in Washington, D.C., following a tip regarding his suicidal intentions. No injuries were reported among Secret Service personnel.

The developments come as Trump announced plans to release information about two assassination attempts against him, pledging transparency amid ongoing inquiries into security matters during his campaign.
