Sean Kingston and His Mother Charged in Nearly One Million Euro Verdict

Rapper Sean Kingston and Mother Convicted of Fraud in Federal Court

Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were found guilty of fraud in federal court on Friday. They stand accused of defrauding multiple businesses—including a jewelry company and a luxury television manufacturer—of nearly $1 million.

At 35, Kingston, along with his 62-year-old mother, now faces the possibility of up to 20 years in prison for each count, as reported by the Daily Mail.

During the proceedings, emotional scenes unfolded in the courtroom, with Kingston reportedly shedding tears and appealing for his mother’s protection. He will remain in custody until his final sentencing, scheduled for July 11, while Turner also stays detained due to concerns about being a flight risk.

Turner, a well-known crime actress, has previously encountered legal issues, including bank fraud charges. Similarly, Kingston has faced his fair share of lawsuits related to unpaid debts from various businesses, including a watchmaker and jeweler.

This latest legal turmoil comes on the heels of a challenging period for Kingston, whose career has experienced a notable decline since its peak in the 2000s. After the success of his hit single “Beautiful Girls,” he has struggled to find the same level of success in subsequent projects.
