Russell Brand Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Four Women, Including Rape Claims

Russell Brand Charged with Multiple Sexual Assault Offenses

British actor and comedian Russell Brand, 50, has been formally charged by the Metropolitan Police with serious offenses, including rape, oral rape, indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault against four women. These incidents are alleged to have occurred between 1999 and 2005.

Brand, who currently resides in Florida, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on May 2.

The charges stem from a collaborative media investigation conducted in 2023 by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4.

Brand has vehemently denied all allegations, asserting that all his relationships were consensual.

Known for his work in radio, television, and Hollywood films, Brand was formerly married to singer Katy Perry and later to Laura Gallacher, with whom he shares three children.

Recently, he made an appearance at a religious event in the United States, where he discussed his renewed connection to the Christian faith.

The police have urged anyone with relevant information or who may have been affected by the case to come forward, while the Prosecution emphasizes the importance of respecting the judicial process and the right to a fair trial.
