Jennifer Lopez is set to return to the American Music Awards this year as both host and performer, with the event airing live from Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.
This marks Lopez’s second time hosting the prestigious ceremony, a role she first embraced in 2015.
“We are excited to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, in a statement. “Jennifer’s incredible talent and unmatched stage presence make her the perfect choice to host the show. We are confident she will infuse the event with her signature energy for the official kick-off to summer.”
Lopez has previously won three awards at the American Music Awards, including Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist in 2003 and Favorite Latin Artist in both 2007 and 2011.
This will be the first regular broadcast of the American Music Awards in two and a half years, following the November 2022 show hosted by comedian Wayne Brady. Additionally, this will be the inaugural regular AMAs to air on CBS.
