Cuban-American actor William Levy was released from a South Florida jail on Monday, where he addressed the circumstances surrounding his arrest, which differ from the official police report.
Levy faced charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and trespassing on private property. After posting $250 bail for each charge, he was released from the Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale.

“It was a challenging situation because I had a few drinks with the crew, as we often do,” he explained to reporters upon his release.
Without delving into specifics, he mentioned there was “an argument with someone,” and he intervened to de-escalate the situation, ultimately leading to his arrest.
The incident took place around 10:10 p.m. at the Baires Grill restaurant in Broward. According to a police report referenced by various media outlets, the trouble started while Levy was dining and had ordered drinks for his party. After receiving the bill, he allegedly refused to pay, claiming he had already settled his portion.
Levy denied any allegations of assaulting a restaurant employee, asserting on camera following his release that he did not engage in any physical altercation, contrary to the police report, which stated he was “very drunk” at the time of the incident. The report also indicated that he was repeatedly asked to leave the restaurant, as documented by Telemundo.
