While on stage, she nearly lost her balance while dancing with one of her performers. Clips of the incident quickly circulated on social media, eliciting a range of responses from fans.
While some critics took the opportunity to comment negatively about her weight, many others rallied to her defense, applauding her professionalism and relief that she was not hurt.
“The internet can be incredibly cruel and envious,” one fan noted, while another stated, “The stage simply wasn’t prepared for that level of talent.”
As of now, SZA has not publicly addressed the incident. Her tour will continue across several cities in North America until June 18 before heading to Europe.
