Rod Stewart Cancels Las Vegas Concert Hours Before Performance Due to Illness
Musician Rod Stewart canceled a concert in Las Vegas yesterday, just hours before he was scheduled to take the stage.
Health issues were cited as the reason for the cancellation. The 80-year-old singer also announced a new date for the show.
“I regret to inform you that I am not feeling well, and my concert at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been postponed to June 10. Your tickets will remain valid for the new date,” Stewart stated.
Last summer, Stewart had to cancel several shows, including his 200th anniversary concert in Las Vegas, citing health concerns. At that time, it was reported he was still recovering from a new strain of COVID-19.

He later clarified that he was suffering from strep throat and expressed his disappointment at missing performances.
“Most people can deal with strep throat, but I certainly can’t. I’m absolutely devastated. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused,” he said.
According to the NHS, strep throat can cause symptoms such as a sore throat, rash, nausea, vomiting, and muscle aches. It is typically not a serious illness and can be effectively treated with antibiotics.
