U.S. President Donald Trump Threatens Legal Action Over Wall Street Journal Article

Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, has threatened to sue The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Rupert Murdoch, and News Corp over an article alleging that he sent a sexually explicit letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003.

Trump has dismissed the story as “fake, malicious, and defamatory.” He stated that he had warned WSJ editor-in-chief Emma Tucker and Rupert Murdoch about the falsehood of the letter, but they chose to publish it regardless.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed he had directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of all grand jury transcripts related to the Epstein investigation, according to CNN. He described the case as a “hoax” fabricated by Democrats and called for its immediate closure.

The WSJ reports that the letter in question was part of a collection of correspondence compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003. The letter allegedly included a drawing of a naked woman and a message that read, “Happy birthday — and may every day be a wonderful secret.”

Trump has denied writing the letter or creating the drawing, asserting that those are not his words and that he does not engage in drawing.

This incident has rekindled discussions about Trump’s connections to Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 and died in prison later that year. Trump has publicly distanced himself from Epstein and has called for transparency regarding documents related to the investigation into Epstein’s activities.
