An Unexpected Twist of Fate
A few weeks earlier, I received a surprising letter that would change my life’s course. It was from an attorney’s office, informing me that I was eligible to inherit a portion of my late great-aunt’s fortune. At the time, I didn’t give it too much thought. Inheritance matters can be so convoluted that I wasn’t counting on actually getting anything. However, when the time came, I booked a flight to sort out the legal formalities.
