Japanese Police Academy Introduces Makeup Course for Male Officers
A police academy in Japan is offering makeup training to its male officers.
Fukushimaken Keisatsugakko, located in Fukushima Prefecture, launched a makeup course in January for 60 police cadets, including those nearing graduation. The initiative has garnered significant attention online.
Takeshi Sugiura, the academy’s deputy director, explained that since officers frequently interact with diverse members of the community, maintaining a tidy and professional appearance is vital.
“We aim to emphasize the importance of a proper appearance as both societal members and future police officers,” Sugiura stated.
Following this trend, another police academy in Yamaguchi has also introduced a similar program focused on teaching male cadets how to properly cleanse and care for their faces.
