Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Finalize Their Divorce
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now officially divorced.
Court documents reveal that a judge from the Los Angeles Superior Court approved their divorce on January 6, with the effective date set for February 21. This decision comes six months after Lopez filed for divorce.
Following the legal separation, Lopez has opted to remove the Affleck surname from her official name.
While most financial specifics remain private, it has been confirmed that neither party will be required to pay spousal support, as they have no children together and custody issues were not part of the proceedings.
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in 2022, but Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, citing a separation that occurred more than a year prior.
This was not their first romance; the couple originally dated in the early 2000s and starred together in the films “Gigli” and “Jersey Girl” in 2004, but they broke up later that same year due to intense public scrutiny.
Two decades later, they rekindled their relationship and married, but unfortunately, the marriage was short-lived.
Affleck was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner, from whom he divorced in 2018, and they share three children. Lopez has been married four times and has children with singer Marc Anthony.
