Officials at the Utica Zoo in New York have announced that they are deploying drones to locate a beaver that has recently escaped from the facility.
The 2-year-old beaver, affectionately named Cauliflower, had been at the zoo for just a few weeks when staff realized he had vanished sometime before the end of Wednesday.
Following his escape, a search effort has been underway for nearly a week as authorities work to track him down.

“We have not located him yet,” stated Andria Heath, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo.
“Up to this point, we believe we’ve exhausted all possible options without success. It was only after that realization that we decided to utilize drones.”
Heath shared that a local drone company has been hired to conduct aerial searches over the zoo and its nearby vicinity.
