Trace Cyrus, the brother of singer Miley Cyrus, has accused Katy Perry of imitating his sister’s style.
In a video posted on his Instagram, Trace claims that Perry copied Miley’s iconic 2012 hairstyle, when she sported short blonde hair, during her own 2017 look.
“Miley cut her hair and broke the internet; everyone went wild when she went blonde,” he stated.

Trace went on to illustrate a fictional dialogue between Katy and her team, suggesting that Perry expressed a desire to emulate Miley’s hairstyle.
He also pointed out previous collaborations by Miley, alleging that Katy has mirrored them, particularly with her forays into hip-hop.
“Guess what? That didn’t work out. She tried some EDM stuff too, and that flopped as well. We sent you to space, and it didn’t go well. Just let it go,” Trace remarked.
Many fans rallied behind him, commenting on his post with messages such as, “I love you, you hit the nail on the head,” “It was about time someone said this,” “Her space journey was a bit alarming,” “I love how passionate you are about this,” and “I totally agree with you. Love your support for your sister!”
For context, Katy Perry was one of five female participants who traveled to the edge of space on April 14. Alongside her were Lauren Sanchez, fiancée of Jeff Bezos, journalist Gayle King, film producer Karianne Flynn, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and activist Amanda Nguyen.
