’60s Teen Idol Bobby Sherman Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer
Bobby Sherman, the beloved pop star and actor who captured hearts in the 1960s with hits like “Little Woman,” has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer, his wife, Brigitte Poublon, announced. Now 81 years old, Sherman is currently receiving care at home and has stepped back from public appearances.
Brigitte shared the news in March, revealing that the cancer has advanced and spread throughout his body. “His body’s not functioning as it used to,” she explained. “All he wants now is to be at home with his family and his dogs.”
Throughout his career, Sherman not only topped charts but also dedicated much of his later life to service. He co-founded a charitable foundation with Brigitte to support children in Ghana, focusing on providing meals, education, and essential resources.
Support has poured in from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Actor John Stamos, among others, shared a heartfelt video message to lift Sherman’s spirits during this difficult time.
Despite his health challenges, Bobby Sherman’s legacy endures—through his memorable music, his humanitarian efforts, and the lasting love of the fans he inspired across generations.
