Cassie Expected to Testify Today in P Diddy’s Trial
It has been widely anticipated, and now we know that Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, will take the stand today.
The court will first hear from Daniel Phillip, the male companion who testified yesterday, to clarify some details.
Following him, Sean Combs’ former partner is scheduled to testify after he completes his testimony.
Cassie, an R&B singer and model, has been at the center of the case since filing a lawsuit against Combs in 2023, alleging years of abuse.
In May 2024, security camera footage was released showing the rapper assaulting her at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Combs issued an apology in a video two days later.
The footage, which was shown to jurors on the first day of the trial, depicts Combs, dressed only in a white towel, punching, kicking, and dragging Ventura down a hotel hallway.
Cassie, who is eight months pregnant, is the prosecution’s main witness. Defense attorneys for Sean Combs have expressed opposition to the jury viewing this footage.
