During the recent trial of music mogul and rapper Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy, in New York, the name of former U.S. President Barack Obama was mentioned.
Specifically, in the second week of the trial, David James—former assistant to P. Diddy—testified that the rapper possessed a tablet featuring an image of Barack Obama among his collection of intoxicating substances.
“There were all kinds of pills, but one had the president’s picture on it,” James stated in court on Tuesday.
When prosecutor Christy Slavik asked him to clarify which president he was referring to, James responded: “President Obama.”
James further claimed that Combs carried between 25 and 30 bottles of pills—including Percocet, ecstasy, Viagra, diet pills, and dietary supplements aimed at increasing sperm quality—stored in his toiletry bag during his hotel stay.
P. Diddy’s trial has featured numerous witnesses and investigators alleging that he engaged in sexual, physical, and verbal abuse of victims, including his former girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.
The rapper faces charges of racketeering, human trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. He also faces multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault.
As of now, P. Diddy denies all charges.
