Kid Cudi Confesses He Was with P. Diddy’s Ex, Who Allegedly Set His Car on Fire with a Molotov Cocktail

Kid Cudi Testifies Against P. Diddy in Court Over Alleged Arson and Break-In

American rapper Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, took the stand in a New York courtroom to testify against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. Cudi alleges that Diddy set fire to his $140,000 (approximately 123,400 euros) Porsche 911 Cabriolet after discovering he was dating Diddy’s then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Cudi claimed that a Molotov cocktail was thrown at his car, causing it to burn. He also testified that Diddy broke into his Los Angeles home upon learning of his relationship with Cassie. Although Cassie had been with Diddy since 2007, Cudi believed they had separated when he began dating her in 2011. On December 22, 2011, Cassie reportedly called Cudi in a panic around 5:30 a.m.

“She told me that Sean Combs had found out about both of us. I was so confused. She asked me to go get him. She sounded nervous and scared, so I went to get him. She was also worried he was coming to my house because she asked for my address, and I gave it to her,” Cudi testified.

After dropping Cassie off at the Sunset Marquis Hotel, Cudi called Diddy on his way home. He apologized for his language in court and recounted their conversation:

“‘You idiot, are you at my house?’ He asked. I said, ‘What’s wrong?’” Cudi recalled. Diddy responded that he just wanted to talk, and Cudi told him he would be there shortly. When he arrived, Diddy was not there.

Regarding his relationship with Cassie, Cudi stated that he decided to end things in late 2011 for his own safety, as he believed Diddy was violent. The tension escalated when, on January 9, 2012, Cudi’s car was set on fire. Photos of the burned vehicle were presented in court as evidence.
