Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence Secretly Tie the Knot in Intimate Ceremony
Eric Murphy, the son of legendary actor Eddie Murphy, and Jasmin Lawrence, the daughter of comedian Martin Lawrence, have reportedly married in a private, low-key ceremony away from the public eye.
Eddie Murphy shared the happy news during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that the couple chose to keep their wedding very personal.
“They got married about two weeks ago. Everyone was planning a big celebration, but in the end, they decided to do something simple and meaningful — just the two of them, a priest, and a church,” Murphy explained.

He also playfully teased Martin Lawrence, suggesting that his friend no longer needs to worry about paying for a grand wedding, referencing a previous joke.
Martin Lawrence had previously joked that he was expected to cover the costs of Eric and Jasmin’s wedding, saying in a prior interview, “Eddie told me it’s my turn now, because he paid for some of his daughters’ weddings.”

The couple announced their engagement last November. Eric is Eddie Murphy’s eldest son from his relationship with Paulette McNeely, while Jasmin is the eldest daughter of Martin Lawrence and Patricia Southall.
Both have followed creative career paths: Eric is a screenwriter and actor, contributing voice work for Avalon Entertainment and other TV projects. Jasmin, a Duke University graduate, has also ventured into acting, notably starring alongside her father in the film Bad Boys for Life.
