American Singer Chris Brown Arrested in Manchester
American singer Chris Brown was detained early this morning at a five-star hotel in Manchester.
Police arrested Brown on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw during an incident at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair, central London, in February 2023.
The 36-year-old R&B star was taken into custody shortly after 2 a.m. at the Lowry Hotel.
Brown had arrived at Manchester Airport on a private jet the previous afternoon, possibly to prepare for rehearsals ahead of his UK tour, which is scheduled to begin in Manchester on June 15.
The Sun newspaper contacted police after confirming Brown’s presence in the country and inquired about any potential arrests related to the incident.
In response, Metropolitan Police detectives traveled to Manchester and detained the singer following new information received about the case.
